Visitors will depart Arusha at 5am for the Ngorongoro Crater, which offers an exceptional safari experience due to its high concentration of wildlife in a relatively small area. As part of the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area, this diverse ecosystem is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is managed in a way that allows human habitation while protecting the natural environment.
On arrival, visitors will be taken down into the crater for an exciting game drive. Here is one of the best places in Africa to see the iconic Big Five. Ngorongoro is also home to a variety of other wildlife such as cheetahs, gazelles, zebra and over 400 bird species, including flamingos which may be seen at Lake Magadi. Visitors will enjoy lunch at the picnic site around 1pm before continuing their game drive in the afternoon to enjoy more of the crater’s diverse habitats and wildlife before departure.
The tour ends at the Crater at 4pm.
