Begin with an early morning pickup at your Singapore hotel.
Our trained driver will meet you at the hotel driveway to check your documents before escorting you through immigration via the Malaysia drive-through border (no standing-in-line).
After clearing immigration, your English-speaking guide will meet you at the luxury VIP bus boarding point and escort you to board your luxury VIP bus (spacious recliner armchairs) before heading to Kuala Lumpur together.
En route to Kuala Lumpur, your luxury VIP bus will stop at a highway service area for restrooms and self-expense breakfast.
Note: Local currency is also available from ATMs along the way.
Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, your English-speaking guide will bring you by sedan/minivan to your first stop in Kuala Lumpur, which is Batu Caves.
The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. Batu Caves was founded by K. Thamboosamy Pillai, an Indian trader in 1891, as a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. A 42.7-metre high gold-painted statue of Lord Murugan was unveiled in January 2006, having taken 3 years to construct. It is the 2nd tallest Lord Murugan statue in the world.
Located near Batu Caves is the Sri Durgai Amman Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga, often regarded as the most powerful female Hindu deity - often depicted with 8 or 10 hands.
As a symbol of the triumph of good over evil, Goddess Durga is portrayed in mythology as a warrior who vanquishes the demonic powers that threaten the social order, economic well-being, and dharma.
In this temple, Goddess Durga is represented as a stunning woman riding a lion, her numerous hands armed with weapons to vanquish evil spirits.
In essence, Goddess Durga's multiplicity of arms embodies her role as an all-powerful and fiercely protective goddess.
30 minutes drive from Batu Caves is the Petronas Twin Towers. The Petronas Twin Towers are currently the world’s tallest twin structures. The 88-storey buildings are joined at the 41st and 42nd floors by a 58m double-deck Sky Bridge.
You will get to visit the Sky Bridge on the 41st floor, as well as the Observation Deck on the 86th floor, accompanied by a Petronas in-house security escort.
Next stop is the famous National Monument, locally known as Tugu Negara. It is a historic bronze sculpture that pays tribute to those who died in combat during Malaysia’s battle for freedom against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency from 1948 till 1960. It serves as a remembrance of the bravery, courage and unity of the fighters who laid down their lives for Malaysia’s independence. The statue has earned its place in the book of records as the tallest freestanding group of bronze sculptures at 15-meter high.
10 minutes drive from National Monument is the National Palace (Istana Negara). It is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the monarch of Malaysia. The palace complex has an area of 97.65 hectares, 22 domes, and is split into three main portions: the Formal Component, Royal Component and Administration Component.
Located near the National Palace is Thean Hou Temple, which was completed in 1987. It is a six-tiered temple of the Goddess of the Sea (Mazu). You can also find the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin) and Protector of the Sea (Shui Wei Niang Niang) here.
Note: Guests who wish to enter the temple may do so briefly, provided it is not closed to the public (ie: outside prayer times). Otherwise, guests may be respectfully requested to only take photos from the outside.
10 minutes drive from the Thean Hou Temple is the National Mosque of Malaysia. The mosque has a capacity for 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres of gardens. Its key features are a 73-metre-high (240 ft) minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof.
The umbrella, synonymous with the tropics, is featured conspicuously – the main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella, the minaret's cap a folded one. The folded plates of the concrete main roof are a creative solution to achieving the larger spans required in the main gathering hall. Reflecting pools and fountains spread throughout the compound.
Completed in 1965, the mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent nation.
10 minutes drive from the National Mosque is the Independence Square (Merdeka Square). This is the historical place where the Union flag was lowered and the national flag was raised for the very first time at the struck of midnight of 31st August 1957.
From the Independence Square, you will have a vantage view of the Sultan Abdul Samad building, which is among Kuala Lumpur’s earliest Moorish-style buildings. It was built in 1897 and was named after the reigning sultan of Selangor at the time. The distinguished landmark originally served as the offices for the colonial British administration and the superior courts of Malaysia.
From the Independence Square, you will have a vantage view of the Kelab Diraja Selangor (also known as Royal Selangor Club). The club was founded in 1884 and originally served as a meeting place for high ranked and educated members of the British colonial society. Selangor is the name of the state in which the capital - Kuala Lumpur is located.
From the Independence Square, you will have a vantage view of the Independence Tower, locally known as Merdeka 118. Topped with a massive 160-meter spire, the tower is still under construction.
When completed in end 2025, it will be the world's second-tallest structure, surpassing the Tokyo Skytree at 634 meters.
After visiting Independence Square, your guide will bring to the exterior of the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas for a photostop of the famous Mercedes-AMG F1 car replica.
Next, your guide will bring you to KLCC Park, where you can take iconic ground photos of the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers.
Note: Upon request, your guide can bring you to the food court located beside KLCC Park, where you can enjoy a self-expense lunch. You will find affordable and authentic local Malaysian cuisine such as the Hainanese Chicken Rice, Dumpling Noodles, Nasi Lemak etc here. For guests with dietary restrictions, you can also find western food, halal food and vegetarian food here.
Finally, you will return back to Singapore border by luxury VIP bus. En-route, listen to the deforestation commentary by your English-speaking guide as you pass by the massive palm oil plantations along the toll highway. You may also take the opportunity to use the bathrooms near here.
You will again be escorted by our driver through immigration via the Malaysia drive-through border (no standing-in-line).
Depending on traffic conditions, you will arrive at Singapore from 11:45pm onwards where you will be provided with a free Singapore hotel dropoff.
