Visit the Chocolate Museum (Choco Story). Learn about the ancient history of cocoa, from its origins, distribution and uses around the world, to ancient Mayan methods of preparation. Walk through the museum and visit the botanical gardens with cocoa trees. Complement your visit with a tour of the animal shelter, where you can admire endemic wildlife rescued. Detailed itinerary

This is the first meeting point where we pick up travelers for this tour. Departure from here is punctual at 08:00 am (with a maximum tolerance time of 10 minutes).
Later we go to the next meeting point which is the Santa Ana park and we finish at the third meeting point which is the Fiesta Americana hotel.
Before leaving Mérida we stop at a store to buy water and snacks for the road.
Once we have everyone on board and after making the stop at the store, we begin our journey to the first point of this incredible tour.
The time to get to the archaeological zone of Uxmal is 1 hour and a half on the road.

Stop 2

Surprise yourself with the first stop in the archaeological area of Uxmal through a guided tour that will help us to know the secrets of this wonderful place, we will walk through structures that highlight the Puuc style of the area, as well as contain mysteries and legends. The visit is 2 hours with the guide in the archaeological area.

Stop 3

Later we visited the archaeological area of Kabah in the company of the guide, known as the second largest religious center of the Puuc style. Declared a State Park since 1993. The oldest reference to this settlement is that in the Chilam Balam of Chumayel.
The visit here is 1 hour with the guide.

Enjoy a delicious typical meal. Here, the 1-hour stay in the restaurant to eat, you are provided with a three-course meal to choose from (starter, main course and dessert).

Stop 5

The last stop is the interactive chocolate museum, better known as Choco Story, where the history of the ancient cocoa is recovered: from its origin, distribution and uses around the world, to showing its ancient Mayan preparation methods, all of this through various cabins. Mayans distributed in the reserve.
In addition to the tour of the museum, you can visit the botanical gardens with cocoa trees and complement it with a tour of the animal shelter, where you can admire endemic fauna that has been rescued.
At the same time, you can visit the meliponary and a play area for the little ones.

We finish this tour at the same meeting point where we picked you up in the morning, starting with the last one which is the Fiesta Americana hotel and ending at the Viajes Colibrí office.
The travel time back to Mérida is 1 hour from the museum.
