In this tour of the ancient city of Athens, we will learn about the history and archaeology of the ancient city. We will learn how ancient Athens was created, how the temples of Athena were constructed on the Acropolis hill and what was their function. We will also explore the sanctuaries of Dionysos and Asclepios and learn more about the religious festivals of the ancient city. At the Acropolis Museum, we will see the artifacts of the Acropolis area and the sculptural decoration of the Parthenon and understand more about the ancient world. We will finish the day with a visit to the ancient Agora, the center of the ancient city. We will get more depth into the circumstances that gave birth to democracy and how their political system functioned. We will also talk about daily life in the ancient city.
We will visit the famous Acropolis hill where we will see the Parthenon, Erectheion, Propylaea, Sanctuary of Dionysos and Sanctuary of Asclepios

Acropolis Museum houses the artefacts that were discovered at the Acropolis area during the excavations of the 19th and 20th centuries. We will also see the famous sculptural decoration of the Parthenon (admission is 15 euros per person)
