The Old Synagogue is a symbol of the history and traditions of Krakow's Jews, as it was the central hub of Jewish religious life in Krakow until the outbreak of World War II.

He also witnessed the drama that unfolded during the liquidation of the Jewish quarter on 13 and 14 March 1943.
The original Enamel Factory, also known as Oskar Schindler's Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF), was established in 1937, when it was founded. Later, on 1 September 1939, Nazi Germany invaded Poland.
