The main square of Kazmierz in the middle of which there is a roundabout, where fast food establishments are sold - Zapiekanka (a baguette with mushrooms, cheese and various toppings baked in the oven)

Here, in a recently reopened, mega atmospheric café, we can enjoy a real specialty coffee.

The Old Synagogue is a symbol of the history and traditions of Krakow's Jews, as it was the central hub of Jewish religious life in Krakow until the outbreak of World War II.

4
Stop 4

After extensive renovation, the synagogue is now the main place of prayer for the Jewish community of Krakow. Next to the synagogue is the Jewish cemetery, one of the oldest in Europe. It is called the Remu Cemetery because Moses Isserles is buried there; on the anniversary of his death, pious Jews from all over the world come to the rabbi's grave.

5

The Father Bernatek foot and cycle bridge is a peculiar place in Podgórze, although it has been here for a short time. It was built in 2010 on the site of the former Podgórze bridge. Its name comes from the monk Laetus Bernatka, the main initiator of the construction of the Bonifrats' hospital in Krakow.

6
Stop 6

During the Second World War, the square became the focal point of the ghetto that the Germans created for the Jewish population (3 March 1941). In house number 18 there was the only pharmacy in the ghetto, run by Tadeusz Pankiewicz, the only Pole in the ghetto. He risked his life to help its inhabitants. He also witnessed the drama that unfolded during the liquidation of the Jewish quarter on 13 and 14 March 1943.
