This tour, unlike any other, marries stories of first person ghost encounters, ghost lore, and historical insights to bring you a spine-chilling exploration of Downtown Austin (Austin's original square mile est. 1839.)
Our hauntings begin at the iconic Driskill Hotel. Did Jesse Driskill leave more than just his legacy in this building when he passed away in 1890? Those who stay overnight in the annex sure seem to believe so. These haunted stories are served with a side of history. Our journey includes 8 haunted points of interest and culminates at the Texas State Capital Building , where mischievous and perhaps vengeful spirits play eerie games and terrify anyone who dares to work overnight shifts.
At our first stop we'll go inside the famous Driskill Hotel to introduce you to a few of Austin's most frightful spirits who haunt the corridors and toy with the guests of this historic hotel.
Short story author O. Henry lived in this folk-Victorian home with his wife and daughter from 1893 to 1895, coinciding with a bit of trouble he got himself into.
Outside the 1915 theater we'll learn a bit of Austin civil rights history and the heartbreaking tale of a man who loved movies.
We'll learn about Austin's most legendary character whose looming presence remains in this 1854 mansion.
Learn about the history and hauntings of the Texas State Capitol building, where spirits keep things lively at night.
We meet at the corner steps outside the Driskill Hotel at the corner of 6th & Brazos streets. Your guide will be at the steps wearing something black or ghost themed.
Giving us your full name upon arrival is sufficient for your ticket. We'll only need to see your ticket if there's an issue.
