About this experience

The journey to Cape Sounio takes you outward from Athens through the upscale, seaside neighborhoods that have earned the area the nickname, “the Athens Riviera.”

The coast is lined with fish tavernas and luxurious, resort-style beaches along with wild, rocky terrain that brings to mind epic tales of heroes and monsters, culminating with our destination: the ancient temple of Poseidon. This trip includes a visit to Lake Vouliagmeni and Varkiza with optional time for swimming or sunbathing.
