Thingvellir National Park is a must-see attraction & recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is located on the Golden Circle route . The park is situated in a rift valley where the Eurasian & North American tectonic plates meet, making it one of the only places in the world where you can see two continents drifting apart. It is also the site where Iceland's parliament, Althing, was founded in 930 AD, making it one of the oldest functioning parliaments in the world. You will reach to park to after a comfortable drive of 1 hour.
Visitors to Thingvellir National Park can explore the park's stunning landscape, which includes a large lake, waterfalls, and volcanic rock formations. The park offers a range of activities for tourists, such as hiking, fishing, & diving in the Silfra fissure, where you can swim between two tectonic plates. Visitors Center at Park offers interactive exhibition which educates visitors about Iceland's ancient history & park's geological significance.
Geysir Geothermal Area is a must-visit attraction known for its bubbling hot springs & spouting geysers. Leaving out Thingvellier National Park , it will drive of almost 45 mins The Strokkur Geysir is the most active geyser in the area, erupting every few minutes & reaching heights of up to 30 meters.
What makes Strokkur Geysir unique is its predictability, as it erupts regularly and consistently. Visitors can anticipate the eruption by observing the pre-eruption bubbling & steam rising from the pool. The geyser's explosive display is a thrilling sight to witness and capture on camera.
Aside from watching Strokkur Geysir erupt, visitors can explore the geothermal area & observe the various hot springs and steam vents. The surrounding landscape is otherworldly, with colorful mineral deposits and bubbling mud pools.

Golden Falls It is a two-tiered waterfall that drops approximately 32 meters into a rugged canyon below. The waterfall is fed by Iceland's second largest glacier, the Langjökull, & its water is a stunning turquoise color due to the suspended sediment in the glacial meltwater.
One of the unique features of Gullfoss is that it appears to disappear into the earth as it cascades down the two tiers. This illusion is created by the shape of the canyon & the mist that rises from the waterfall. The sound of the water crashing into the canyon is deafening & the mist that rises from the falls creates a beautiful rainbow on sunny days. It is 10 minute drive from Geysir Geothermal Area
