After pick-up at your hotel in El Calafate, you will go on an scenic drive to Los Glaciares National Park. Enjoy the landscapes during the drive: You will border the southern shore of 'Argentine Lake' and cross the Patagonian steppe. On the way, take some pictures at the 'Curve of Sighs', and you will discover the meaning of its name...

Stop 2

Los Glaciares National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 when its almost 200 glaciers were discovered. Half of the park is occupied by the Patagonian ice field, the second-largest ice field after Antarctica. Upon arrival at the National Park, you will purchase your entrance tickets.

Following up, your guide will explain the different walkways of the park so that you can tour them according to your interest. The walkways will allow you to access the viewing balconies that showcase the glacier from different angles. Enjoy this incredible natural show! You will be amazed not only by the impressive glacier but also by the typical tree vegetation of the Andean Patagonian forest. You will go to the main balcony and then walk freely on the walkways until the meeting time agreed with the guide. The duration of this step may vary depending on weather conditions.

For lunchtime, the National Park offers a service area with a restaurant and a snack bar (lunch not included)

Stop 4

If you choose the "including Boat Safari" option, you will take a 1-hour boat ride through Rico Branch of Lago Argentino, to get a different perspective of this impressive glacier. Sail along the massive glacier wall and in between floating icebergs. Watch closely to see pieces of ice detach from the glacier and slide into the surrounding lake!

After exploring the park, relax on the returning drive to El Calafate, where your full-day tour will conclude in the early evening, at approximately 5 p.m.

You will be arriving back to El Calafate at approximately 5pm / 5:30pm.
Pick-up is provided at accommodations with a front desk. Otherwise, we will confirm the tour under meeting point.
The maximum capacity for the 'Safari boat ride' depends of the boat used on the tour date, which could be: 65, 115 or 160 people.
