About this experience

Have you always wanted to see the blooming tulip fields in The Netherlands without the massive crowds? This guided bike tour alongside the Dutch flower fields takes place in the North of The Netherlands. The region you will visit during this tulip fields bike tour in the Holland region is home to the most flower fields in The Netherlands.

I'm a born and raised Dutch local from this region and have worked in the tulip industry since I was a young teenager. I have also helped people explore The Netherlands beyond the crowds since 2018. I will show you tulip fields without tourists, have insider information about the tulip and flower industry in The Netherlands and I will be able to tell you a lot about my own region and the history.

You will not only see endless tulip fields (pretty close to cities like Amsterdam, Zaandam & Alkmaar), but also historic mounds, water barriers, picturesque villages and more. Enjoy the best of what the Dutch countryside has to offer with a Dutch local.

Detailed itinerary

1

We start out tulip fields guided bike tour in The Netherlands in the city of Schagen and we end here as well. From there we cycle through the Dutch countryside, alongside endless tulip fields without tourists, see traditional Dutch windmills, enjoy the sight of cows and sheep in the meadows and admire the picturesque Dutch villages. I have created several routes, so the locations we visit to see tulip fields in The Netherlands are not the same every day. One day we'll be near the North Sea and the next we're discovering a whole other side of the region. The tour is between 25 and 30 km. But, depending on what the group wants, I can add in a few extra underway, as I know all the exact locations of the fields anyway.
