You will enjoy the beauty of Athens Riviera which is the coastal area in the southern suburbs of Athens, from Piraeus to the most southern point of Attica region, Cape Sounio. You ll see the endless coast which is full of little gulfs, marinas, and natural beauty. It will take us almost 50min. from your pick up point (hotel or Port of Piraeus), until we reach our first destination, the Lake of Vouliagmeni.
You will admire the view of Vouliagmeni Lake, the geological phenomenon which is considered as a Site of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the Ministry of Culture. The lake is included in Greece’s national NATURA 2000 network. We ll stay there for almost 20min. for you to also take great photos. It will take us almost another 20min, until we reach our next destination, the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion.
You will be amazed by the magic in the air of your final destination, the Temple of Poseidon. Poseidon was the God of the Sea and Athenians used to choose temple locations that were physically related to or suggestive of the deity honored in the temples. The view of the Aegean Sea from the Temple is breathtaking. Grab the chance to take photos you will gaze for a lifetime. We will stay there for about 1 1/2 hour and it will take us almost 10min. to reach our last point of interest, Thoricus.
You will admire the oldest theater in existence and be surprised to visit the first industrial area that dates to 3500 years ago. We will stay in this site for about half an hour and we ll drive back to the drop off point, which will take us almost 80min. more.
