It’s a special place where the Olympic Flame begins its journey to the Games.

At Syntagma Square in Athens, you can witness the ceremonial changing of the guards in front of the Hellenic Parliament. The guards, known as ‘Evzones,’ are dressed in traditional uniforms and perform a slow, precise march. This symbolic ceremony, which takes place every hour, represents the country’s respect for its history and the protection of democracy.

Stop 4

Lycabettus Hill offers one of the best panoramic views of Athens. You can capture stunning photographs of the city, including the Acropolis, Syntagma Square, and the Aegean Sea in the distance. It’s a perfect spot for unforgettable pictures, especially at sunset.

The Propylaea is an impressive central building of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is part of the historic Athenian Trilogy, along with the Library and the Academy of Athens.
