1

The guide will provide you with a detailed plan for the day, discussing your physical fitness level and any specific needs you might have.

Stop 2

At the end of the road, our adventure begins with a hike tailored to your fitness level, leading us to some of the most fascinating spots on Mount Etna’s northern side. Here, you’ll witness firsthand how the volcano constantly reshapes the landscape, transforming it within a human lifetime.

Guided by Daniele’s deep knowledge and expertise, you’ll uncover the geological, botanical, and human stories that make Etna unique. Craters, lava flows, volcanic formations, lush forests, and more await, offering glimpses into the volcano’s powerful influence on its surroundings. Even in a 1.5-hour journey, Daniele will bring this remarkable environment to life, making every moment rich with discovery and wonder.

3

As we descend Mount Etna, we’ll enter the renowned Etna DOC wine region, home to the historic SCILIO winery. Managed by the fifth generation of the Scilio family, who have cultivated these vineyards since 1815, this winery is rich with tradition and authenticity. Luisa, the family’s daughter, will warmly welcome you into a charming, Sicilian-style rustic restaurant. Here, you’ll savor a generous charcuterie board brimming with Sicilian delicacies—salumi, olives, eggplant, and other vibrant local flavors.

Alongside this feast, you’ll enjoy tastings of four distinct wines: red, white, and rosé, each showcasing the region’s unique terroir. Set in one of Etna’s most serene and secluded locations, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the atmosphere.

4

After lunch, a knowledgeable sommelier will guide you on an immersive walk through the vineyards. Over a 30-40 minute tour, you’ll learn about each stage of their winemaking process, from hand-harvesting and pressing to fermentation and bottling. This is your chance to discover the story behind the wines you’ve tasted and to experience firsthand the passion that defines Sicilian winemaking.
