Take a tour around the free city of Meeren with our guide, a huge lover of the show play a guess-the-scene game, and learn a little bit of history along the way. Duration 75 minutes.
Entrance to the cellars is included plus a 20% discount in the got museum.

The city of Split was a major location in the filming of Game of Thrones, and on our tour, you will learn about and visit most of the locations filmed here. Additionally, you will learn about Diocletian's Palace, since it is a key historical location from the Roman Empire that most of the scenes were filmed in.

Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

Central square of Diocletian's palace, from which you can get to almost all other locations within the palace.

Walk through the substructures of Diocletian's Palace that were used for the dungeons of Mereen. You will see the location where Sir Barristan Selmy fought back to back with Grey Worm against the Sons of the Harpy, and more famously, the Dragon Dungeon, where Daenerys imprisoned two of her dragons.

Stop 3 Pass by

Learn a bit about the Roman temple of Jupiter, who Diocletian considered to be his divine father.

See the location where Sons of the Harpy ambushed and had a stand off against a few Unsullied soldiers.

The famous Papalić Street was used as the filming location for the infamous "Kill the Masters" scene, during the slave uprising of Mereen.

See where the Game of Thrones museum is, so you can visit it after the tour.

Learn how the entrance to Diocletian's palace was used for a few scenes in the Game of Thrones, and how they used clever filming tricks to make it feel like a completely different location.

Stop 8

Finally, we'll learn a bit of the history of Croatian language by the statue of Gregory of Nin.

Under the arch on the north part of the square, next to the Cathedral and bell tower of St. Domnius.
The meeting point is on Peristil Square, where the Luxor café bar is. Look for the yellow sign or yellow umbrella next to the tallest bell tower in the center of the palace.
