Let's see the Sagres Fortress, which stands strategically on the Sagres promontory, to control maritime navigation on the Atlantic-Mediterranean axis. Its foundation in the 15th century is associated with the figure of Infante D. Henrique. The fortress was built in the 15th century, during the period of Infante D. Henrique. It was badly damaged by the 1755 earthquake and was rebuilt at the end of that century, although in a very modified form. It was the subject of major renovation works in the 1960s, 1990s, and 2010s.

Stop 3

Silves Castle is a military monument located in the city, parish and municipality of Silves, in the district of Faro, in the Algarve, in Portugal. The set of defensive structures in Silves consisted of two elements: an outer wall that protected part of the city, forming a medina, and the fortress inside, known as an alcáçova, located at the highest point of the hill. The fortress is the largest structure of its type in the Algarve, and one of the most important monuments in the region, and is also considered the most beautiful example of Islamic military architecture in the country.

The Monchique thermal baths are fed by six springs, providing super alkaline water, with a pH of 9.5. It is part of the family of sulfuric waters, more precisely of the primitive or sodium sulfuric waters, which in Portugal are also found in São Pedro do Sul, Vizela and Aregos. Sulfuric waters are determined by the presence of organic and living sulfur, with an expectorant, antiseptic and keratoplastic effect, combining the synergistic effect of sulfur with bicarbonates, making them indicated for respiratory and nutritional diseases, chronic and degenerative rheumatonic arthritis , and digestive problems. Among the respiratory diseases treated by the waters of Caldas de Monchique are asthma, bronchitis, rhinitis, allergies and sinusitis, while musculoskeletal diseases include muscle tension, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylitis, spondylosis , rheumatism, and spinal deformities.

In Lagos we can see the slave market as well as Ponta da Piedade
