Our accredited guide will meet you at 6am at your residence/hotel within Nairobi to start your 30 minute drive to Nairobi National Park. Your guide will give you a description of the tour while giving you interesting facts about Nairobi city and Kenya as a whole. Once at the entrance your tickets will be validated and you will be ready for the game drive. This will be a 3 hour game drive where you explore various parts of the National Park. You will view different animals such as lions, hippos, impalas, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, monkeys, baboons, crocodiles, hartebeest, wildebeest, eland and many more. If you are lucky you may even spot a leopard or a cheetah. Also there are over a hundred species of birds to be spotted in the park and you could challenge your guide to give you the names of each. Once you are completely satisfied you will drive out of the park and head for the Giraffe Centre.
Once at the Giraffe Centre you will pay for your ticket and head to the Giraffe viewing spot. The Giraffe Centre has an elevated viewing spot where you will be able to see the Giraffes up close and take pictures next to them. There are instructors who will ensure your safety and the safety of the animals so you do not have to worry. The instructors will also give you the names of the giraffes while sharing their stories so that you learn more about their behaviour. This visit will be for about an hour after which you will proceed to the bead factory.
This is a bead factory where they offer a free guided tour teaching you the process of making beads with clay. The bead factory has women making the beads which plays a huge role in empowerment and growth in the community. The whole bead making process from the initial harvesting of clay to the final product with the different coloured beads is seen here. If you like you could make your own necklace or bracelet using the final product. You will learn lot from the assortment of jewelry, beaded belts and beaded bags in different colors. Once satisfied you will head out of the factory where you may choose to stop at a local restaurant for lunch or proceed back to your hotel for the drop off.
