Hells gate national park is one of the few places where you can do a bike ride while viewing wild animals. The park can also be accessed by car and on foot. The short hike at the gorge lets you see iconic volcanic rock formations and hotsprings. Later you also visit lake Naivasha which has hippos, birds and views of the crescent island.

Hells gate is a national park is located 115 km from Nairobi(2 hour drive). It is one of the parks where you can do a bike ride while viewing animals. This park has volcanic rock formations; volcanic plugs, the main wall and the gorge.
The trip begins at 7.00am where your driver picks you up from your hotel. After driving for an hour you will take a break at the Great rift valley view point for pictures. The drive then continues for 1 more hour then you will arrive at hells gate.
Here you will choose a good bike for the trip then start the bike ride with your guide. It is a 8km bike ride one way to the gorge. Your guide will show you all the volcanic rock formations and animals in the park. You will also see the original idea for the Pride rock in Lion king! Once you’re at the gorge entrance you will leave your bike and go for a short walk where you’ll view the gorge and visit a hotspring. You also get to see where mufasa dies(Lion king). The bike ride back to the car follows.
Once back in the car your guide will drive you to Lake Naivasha for lunch followed by the boat ride. This is a one hour boat ride where you will see hippos birds and view the animals on the crescent island. You also get to see the effect of the increasing levels of water on the trees on the side of the lake. This is followed by the drive back to Nairobi where you will be dropped at your hotel.
