Stop 1

Forbidden City was the imperial palace from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. For around 500 years , it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government

Your live guide will use the video screen and lead you wander around this amazing example of Imperial architecture with the historys storories of the palace by interactive talking with you.

The tour route : Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family.

Your guide will follow the major palaces along central axis : Meridian Gate - Gate of Supreme Harmony -to the North Gate of Divine Might

The 1-hour tour will be finished at the North gate of Forbidden City, your guide will still provide 10-20 minutes for tour Q&A time.
