About this experience
Discover 2 of Beijing's most iconic sites on a half day walking tour as you visit the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven.
Meet at guide and group at the Summer Palace, where China’s imperial households retired to beat the summer heat. Admire the beautiful lakes, pavilions, and bridges in this sprawling complex.
After 1-hour subway ride experience, continue the tour at Temple of Heaven, it is no longer a temple for Imperial emperors prayed for bumper harvests, but a public park for Beijing’s senior citizens practice their morning exercises, so It is also a little window to learn Chinese seniors retirement life.
Tours ends at the subway station of Heaven Temple East Gate, your guide will help you take taxi or subway back, or you can walk and visit the Pearl Market on your own.
English guide, subway ride tickets and two sites entrance fees are all included.

Stop 1
Temple of Heaven which used to be the place where the emperors worshipped the God of Heaven 600 year ago. It is one of the ancient Chinese temples of its kind that still stand with supreme status integrity and characteristics.
During the tour, you will visit the Circular Mound Altar and the Imperial Vault of Heaven, the knowledgeable tour guide will share relevant Chinese history and interesting stories with you and also make some curious experiments to help you understand better the design of the structures.
Continue the walk, you will visit the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, wander in the Long Corridor and see Seven-Star Stones. You will also have the chance to see how local people entertain themselves in this park, such as: singing, square dancing, gymnastics, Jianzi game, etc,… and JOIN them if you want!
You will optional visit the Pearl Market free after Heaven Temple tour.
