Detailed itinerary

1

Embark on a full-day tour from Nairobi to Crescent Island, a wildlife sanctuary located on Lake Naivasha. Enjoy a boat ride to the island, and spot hippos, giraffes, hyenas, pythons, and buffaloes.

Start your day of adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Nairobi. After a short meet and greet with your friendly and professional driver, set off for Crescent Island, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint along the way for some amazing holiday pictures.

Later, proceed to the speedboat that will ferry you to the island. Along the way, witness thousands of birds, animals grazing by the banks of the lake, and the snoring heads of huge hippopotamus.

2

Be accompanied for the duration of this trip with a knowledgeable guide who will lead you through the vegetation. After your 30-minute animal watching spectacle, arrive at the island and enjoy a welcoming from your friendly guides.

Be led through the island and shown an abundance of animals and vegetation. From the top of the hill, enjoy a 360-degree view across the Lake from Longonot to Hell’s Gate.

This location boasts more animals per acre than any other Kenyan Park. The park is not fenced to allow the wildlife on the mainland to come in as they lose their habitat to development and the ever-increasing population.

Throughout your day, spot hippos grazing and sleeping, giraffes and their young ones, hyenas that appear at night to hunt, many pythons, and groups of buffaloes. Stop and enjoy lunch with amazing views in the park.

After spending some time on the island, your boat will pick you up once again and take you back, setting off for Nairobi with lots of memories.
