If you select the Mt. Vesuvius option, continue your journey up the volcano for incredible views of Capri and Sorrento. Choose between a scenic hike to the famous crater or a more relaxed naturalistic walk with a professional geologist, who will reveal the unique features and hidden wonders of the Vesuvius landscape.

• The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius is optional and requires a good level of general fitness to complete. The hike is uphill at a 14-degree angle and 20 minutes long (about 1 mile). The hike is prevalently on soft ground, and adequate footwear is recommended. For those who prefer a more leisurely experience, you can instead choose to enjoy a scenic and informative walking tour led by an expert geologist at Vesuvius
• Temperatures on the Volcano may be a bit lower than temperatures on the ground, a sweater or light jacket is recommended, especially outside of the summer months
• This tour involves a fair amount of walking: comfortable shoes are recommended , a bottle of water and a hat are recommended especially in summer months
• Only small bags are allowed
• Gratuities for your guide/driver that provided excellent service are appreciated!
• Infants do not have a reserved seat on the bus
