Detailed itinerary

1

Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 09:00 a.m.. Then, we will transfer to the Bund and start the wonderful Shanghai Private Tour.
The Bund is a famous waterfront on the west bank of Huangpu River and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Here, the charm of Shanghai as a bustling metropolis combining the century-old history and flourishing future is fully presented, making the Bund Shanghai a must-see attraction. We will see the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles at the Bund. Such as Peace Hotel(Heping Fandian), Shanghai Customs House and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. We also can appreciate skyscrapers across the Huangpu River.

2

Waibaidu Bridge is always a romantic place for lovers. As a shooting place for many TV series and films, it has a special appeal for those who have an old-Shanghai complex.
Waibaidu Bridge is one of the landmarks of the old city of Shanghai, spanning the Suzhou Creek, and at the confluence of this creek with the Huangpu River. It is the earliest and largest steel bridge in the city, stretching from north to south.

3

We will see the Bund City Sculptures, Monument to the People's Heroes, Huangpu Park and Waibaidu Bridge.
Then, we will take a cruise to enjoy the scenery along the Huangpu River.

4
Stop 4

The Huangpu River divides two iconic but different Shanghai sights: high modern buildings in the Pudong area and 26 various buildings of different architectural styles on the west side. We will take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River to enjoy the light show and beautiful scenery on both sides of the river including the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Jin Mao Tower.

Then, we will walk around Yuayuan Old Street and visit classical garden.

5
Stop 5

Shanghai Old Street, historically called Miaoqian Dajie, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler's store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here. Visiting the old alleys of Shanghai is a great way to discover the traditional culture of this city and experience the real life of the Shanghainese.

6
Stop 6

Yu Garden was a private garden of the Pan family in the Ming Dynasty. It was the largest and most prestigious of its era in Shanghai after it was completed.
Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. The exquisite layout, beautiful scenery, and the artistic style of the garden architecture have made the garden one of the highlights of Shanghai.
You can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge. Chinese people believe that the number nine symbolizes auspiciousness. Walking across the Bridge is said to bring people good luck. The Bridge leads to Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, which is the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.

At noon, we will enjoy local speciality for lunch. Vegetarian, Western and Local Speciality options are available, please advise at time of booking.

Then, we will transfer to Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum and discover a lesser-known side of Shanghai's history.

7
Stop 7

It is a museum commemorating the Jewish refugees who lived in Shanghai during World War II after fleeing Europe to escape the Holocaust. The museum features documents, photographs, films and personal items documenting the lives of some of the more than 20,000 Jewish residents of the Restricted Sector for Stateless Refugees, better known as the Shanghai Ghetto, during the Japanese occupation of Shanghai.
See important sites from that era including the Jewish Refugees Museum (formerly Ohel Moishe Synagogue), Huoshan Park and Xiahai Temple. Learn from your informative guide about the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, hear about modern day life in the historic neighborhood and meet local residents on this fascinating tour.

8

1933 Old Millfun, or 1933 Laochangfang in Chinese, or simply 1933, was originally a slaughterhouse, built in the year 1933 at the intersection of Hongkou Port and Shajing Port, not far from the Bund. Nowadays, it has been transformed into a cluster of creative art precincts and has become the center of Shanghai’s fashion, design, shopping and entertainment. We can see Lattice Windows, Umbrella Columns, Covered Bridges, Central Atrium and Sky Theater.

9
Stop 9

The Jade Buddha Temple is an active monastery and one of the most popular temples in Shanghai. Visit to see the site's two beautiful jade Buddhas as well as the vast collection of statues, relics, and art.
Although the history of the Jade Buddha Temple is not very long, the old-time and classical architectural style makes it unique and inimitable in this modern city. The Jade Buddha Temple is a good place to go whether you are a Buddhist or not, the peaceful and transcendent atmosphere adds a kind of richness to our busy modern society.
