Come celebrate Disney's blockbuster, Hocus Pocus! Starring Better Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, Hocus Pocus has become one of the most beloved movies. The majority of the movie was filmed in Salem in 1993. We will take you to 5 of the locations used in the filming.

Along the way, you will also hear about the Salem Witch Trials, the maritime history, how we became the "Witch City", and more!
*There is a considerable amount of walking (~3 miles) at a very fast pace. This walk can be very strenuous and is not recommended for those with the following:
back, knee, or hip problems, respiratory, circulatory, cardiac issues or recent surgeries.
Pioneer Village is a $5 optional fee (Seasonal only)

****The tour ends in a different location than the start - please plan accordingly. Transportation will not be provided by WCWT.

Salem Common is a large common green space in central Salem.

One of the top sites in downtown Salem for Hocus Pocus movie fans.

Ropes Mansion would be recognized by Hocus Pocus enthusiasts as Alison's house from the movie.

We will visit one of the oldest cemeteries in the city

You will end the Hocus Pocus movie tour in Pioneer Village, the oldest living history museum in the United States. You will have time to stroll at your own pace and take photos. (Optional) entrance fee $5 per person if you choose to go inside. Weather permitting and may be closed depending on specific circumstances. Please arrange your own transportation back to downtown Salem via Uber/ Lyft if necessary. This tour ends here (which is not near the start location)

Pioneer Village is not open on weekdays . So if you choose to book this tour on a weekday you will not gain entrance. Pioneer Village also closes during inclement weather due to muddy conditions..
We cannot be held responsible if Pioneer Village is closed without notice.
Pioneer Village (optional with $5 fee) is normally open June through October. Weekends only.

Meeting point

The tour begins at the Salem Common, near the playground at the basketball courts . The first stop is the high school used in the filming of Hocus Pocus. From there we will walk approximately 3.2 miles and end at Pioneer Village.
