The Mangiapane Cave, located in the beautiful Monte Cofano Nature Reserve near Custonaci (Trapani), is a fascinating testimony to Sicilian rural life. Inhabited since the Palaeolithic period, in the 19th century it became a small village inhabited by the Mangiapane family, from which it takes its name. Inside are stone houses, workshops and stables, perfectly preserved, that tell of ancient farming traditions. Today it is an open-air museum, which can be visited especially during the Living Crib of Custonaci, an event that brings the ancient trades of Sicily back to life.

The Zingaro Nature Reserve, located between San Vito Lo Capo and Scopello, is a true paradise in Sicily. This unspoilt stretch of coastline is distinguished by its breathtaking coves, such as Cala Tonnarella dell'Uzzo and Cala Marinella, with crystal-clear waters and perfect backdrops for snorkelling. The landscape is dominated by Mediterranean maquis, scenic paths and ancient rural shelters. An oasis of biodiversity, the reserve is home to numerous species of flora and fauna
