You will explore Piscinas, following a wild itinerary that will leave you breathless. You will find suggestive ruins of structures from the mining period. You will discover the beach of Piscinas, a unique place in Sardinia and throughout the Mediterranean: a fascinating desert, coloured by striking junipers shaped by the wind, which interrupt the ochre yellow of the high dunes. Detailed itinerary

1

The Tombs of the Giants of San Cosimo, located in Gonnosfanadiga, are ancient testimonies of the Nuragic Age, immersed in an evocative natural setting. These majestic funerary monuments, built with large stone blocks, guard the mystery and spirituality of a millenary civilization. Visiting them, one can admire the architectural ingenuity of the Nuragic people and breathe in the sacred atmosphere of a place steeped in history and ancient traditions.

2

Piscinas, in the heart of the Costa Verde, is famous for its golden sand dunes, among the highest in Europe, stretching down to the crystal-clear sea. This unique landscape, shaped by the wind, offers a wild and unspoilt atmosphere, perfect for those seeking tranquility and contact with nature. Surrounded by fragrant Mediterranean scrub and rich in wildlife, Piscinas is an iconic place in Sardinia.

3

Ingurtosu, nestled in the wild beauty of the Costa Verde, is a fascinating abandoned mining village that tells the story of 19th-century industrial Sardinia. Once the hub of mining activity, today it preserves the remains of buildings, industrial architecture and the evocative atmosphere of a place suspended in time. Strolling through its ruins, surrounded by hills and Mediterranean scrub, is a trip down memory lane, amidst stories of work and daily life of a bygone era.

4

Montevecchio, a historically important mining site, offers a fascinating tour to discover a ‘ghost world’ linked to Sardinia's mining tradition. Located between Arbus and Guspini, this complex, which operated from 1848 to 1991, tells the story of a mine that was one of the most important in Italy. The route includes various itineraries that allow you to explore emblematic places, such as the Management Building, the shaft tower and the workers' lodgings. Each stage offers an insight into the hard work of mining and living conditions, from the elegant rooms of the management to the modest workers' dwellings and industrial facilities such as the workshops and compressor rooms. The site, which is part of the Geomining Park of Sardinia, is a dive into the region's industrial past, enriched by unique architecture and machinery.
