The Sella del Diavolo (The Devil's Saddle), one of Cagliari's most iconic symbols, is a promontory overlooking the Golfo degli Angeli (Gulf of Angels). This legendary place, rich in myths and stories, has to take its name from its peculiar shape reminiscent of a saddle.

Poetto, Cagliari's most famous beach, stretches some eight kilometres between the city and Quartu Sant'Elena.
