Detailed itinerary

1

The Gennargentu Mountain Range is home to Sardinia's highest peaks. From these summits, breathtaking views stretch across the entire island. This area is a treasure trove of biodiversity, featuring rare and endemic. The landscape is a mosaic of pastures, Mediterranean scrub, dense alder groves, and monumental oaks. Along its scenic trails, visitors can refresh at pristine springs, admire rare blooms, and observe an astonishing variety of insects. Ancient shepherd huts, some still in use, dot the valleys below.

2

The Montarbu Forest is one of Sardinia's most enchanting natural treasures. Covering 2,800 hectares across the municipalities of Seui and Ussassai, this pristine forest lies 10 kilometers east of Seui. Nestled at the foothills of Monte Arbu and the Tonneri range, Montarbu offers breathtaking landscapes with towering plateaus at 1,000 meters, dramatic vertical cliffs, and deep valleys carved by crystal-clear streams. To the north, the Flumendosa River separates it from the majestic Gennargentu mountains, creating a paradise for hikers and nature lovers seeking authentic Sardinian wilderness.
