1

Stop at 1000 Steps :

2

- Stop at Karpata :
Karpata is a popular dive site on Bonaire, known for its clear waters, beautiful coral reefs and rich marine life. It is a dive site suitable for divers of all levels, with a sloping reef structure. Karpata is also a historical site, located near the ruins of an old plantation, offering a combination of natural beauty and historical intrigue.

3

Stop at Goto Lake :
Gotomeer is a saltwater lagoon near the island’s northern end and it is a Flamingo hangout. Bonaire is one of the few places in the World where pink flamingos nest.
The lake is easily accessible via a road that runs along the east side, with beautiful viewpoints.

4

Stop at Cadushy Distillery :
Have you ever tried drinking a cactus? Don’t miss this special experience when you’re on Bonaire! The Cadushy Distillery produces something you would have never imagined: excellent liqueur, made out of cactus. Entrance to the Cadushy Distillery including a tour with explanation of the process and including the tasting of their liqueurs is entirely free!
Ow did I mention there is Rum ?! Yes you heard correctly. RUM

5

Drive through Rincon :
Rincon is the oldest settlement on Bonaire and used to be the capital of the island before Kralendijk took over this role. The Spanish founded the village in the 16th century to keep it out of sight of pirates. The village is located in a valley in the northwest of the island and offers beautiful views of both the east and west coasts. Rincon is also called the "cultural village" because of the many traditions, festivities and customs that are still celebrated there.

6
Stop 6

Stop at Seru Largu :
Seru Largu is a hill on the Bonaire known for its beautiful panoramic views over the island and the Caribbean Sea. Seru Largu also means “large hill” and from the top, you can see the capital city of Kralendijk, the entire southside of the island and the little island of Klein Bonaire. There is a monument at the site which reads in the Papiamentu language as “Kristu Ayera Awe Semper” which means “Christ, Yesterday, Today and Forever”. It is centrally located on the island and is worth a visit if you wish to experience the beauty of Bonaire from a breathtaking elevation.

7

Stop at Salt Pier :
The Salt pier is part of the Cargill salt works, where salt is harvested from evaporation ponds and is a renowned shore diving and snorkeling site. It's known for its vibrant underwater ecosystem thriving around the pillars of a working salt pier, used for exporting salt. Divers and snorkelers can explore the pier's structures, encountering diverse marine life, including various fish species, corals, and even sea turtles.

8

Stop at Slave Huts :
Slave huts on Bonaire are remnants of the island's colonial past, serving as living quarters for enslaved people during the Dutch occupation. These small, stone or masonry structures were built to house the enslaved laborers who worked on plantations and Salt flats. While many have been lost to time, around 30 of these huts still stand, offering a glimpse into a chapter of Bonaire's history.

9

Stop at South Lighthouse :
The Willemstoren Lighthouse, also known as the South Lighthouse, is Bonaire's oldest lighthouse, built in 1837. Located at the southern tip of the island, it offers a glimpse into Bonaire's maritime history and provides stunning views of the wild coastline and ocean. While the lighthouse itself isn't open to the public, the surrounding area is accessible and offers opportunities to spot wildlife like flamingos and wild donkeys.

10

Stop at Sorobon Hangout Beachbar :
The Hang Out Beachbar in Sorobon has grown into thriving and populaire place to be. Offering all kind tasty food & beverages, don't mention the daily special comfortable beach bed, lounges and the ever lasting service with a smile. This is where you live according to the true Caribbean relaxed lifestyle. Enjoy the athmosphere, go surfing or relax at the beach.
Fun fact !!! Did you know the Hangout is actually called the "Hang Out" because in the beginning there were no bar stools to sit on. There were only windsurfing trapezes attached to the bar where you could "Hang''
