Just an hours drive south from Station Pier and we will arrive at Moonlit Sanctuary, an Australian Wildlife Sanctuary. Your guide will show you what you can see and do and then you can spend some time wandering around and checking out the animals. This includes feeding the kangaroos and a koala encounter. The experience here is self guided.
After leaving the very cute Aussie animals we head to the Mornington Peninsula a popular weekend getaway location for locals in summer as well as a world class wine region. We visit the iconic Merrick's General wine store for a high quality lunch-local and seasonal produce with a glass of wine. Here we will also enjoy a guided wine tasting of local wines, Bailleau and Elgee Park.
Returning to Port (Station Pier) after lunch we will go to the highest point on the Mornington Peninsula for more sightseeing. This one will take your breath away with amazing views over Port Phillip Bay.
On the return jouney and only 25 minutes from Port is a cluster of over 80 historic bathing boxes, also known as beach huts. This is a small, usually wooden and often brightly coloured, box above the high tide mark on popular bathing beaches. This is a wonderful photo opportunity with Melbourne City Back drop and a chance to get sand inbetween your toes before heading back to Port.
Pick up from Station Pier is by the Boom Gate before the parked cars-your name will be on a sign. This is approximately 100 metres from your ship. You can contact your guide on +61 418 336 005
