Canopy Zipline & Butterflies From Monteverde

Our zip line tour is the only one that is 100% built within the Cloudy forest! On this tour visitors will cross through the unequaled canopy of the cloud forest suspended through a high capacity cable and using the best mountaineering implements which combined will generate a

experience hard to forget. The tour begins in the main dress hall where our visitors will be equipped and immediately transported to the training platform.

In the training platform our expert guides will instruct and establish the necessary guidelines for our visitors to successfully complete the tour Then our visitors will be taken to the first platform where will start the tour. Visitors will cross the canopy of the forest through three sections of cables in which they will have to make small walks between each section. During one of these walks they will arrive at the exciting Tarzan Swing where those with a sufficient adventurous spirit will have fun and experience their emotions to the fullest. The Tarzan Swing is an extra activity included in the tour where our visitors are given the option of swinging through the forest tied to a high security rope with which they jump from a platform and experience the adventure to the fullest. After this our visitors will continue the tour until we reach the mainland once more.

The tour consists of 13 cables with 19 platforms and a Tarzan Swing. There is a total of 3.22 kilometers of cables. It is a tour suitable for people of all ages, although restrictions may apply for people with extreme excess weight. It is recommended that those who wish to do the Canopy Tour wear long pants, walking shoes and depending on weather conditions equipment for rain. This tour lasts approximately two and a half hours.

At our hummingbird garden, our visitors will observe more than 14 different species of hummingbirds including a few species that are not commonly seen in other areas of Monteverde. At our garden the relaxing waterfalls and the beautiful natural floral arrangements provide a perfect setting for natural photography lovers. The hummingbird garden is also a perfect picnic area.
