Stop 2

The beautiful seafront is in front of you. This kind of view of the sea and palm trees is hard to find in the world, but we have it. Feel the smell of the sea and the breeze.

3

The cellars of Diocletian's Palace are really impressive. As we can see here, the palace was very large and elaborately built.

4
Stop 4

Did you know that once in the center of Split Cathedral stood the coffin of Diocletian? It was the imperial mausoleum and it had its protectors, do you recognize the protector? And that's not all! The cathedral still houses an important person: can you guess who? It is a famous saint!

5
Stop 5

Diocletian was a clever ruler who did everything in his power to stay on top, even declaring himself as the son of the mighty god Jupiter!
We'll take you to the Peristyle, where Diocletian would show himself to his people and they would bow down before him.
It was the main square in the time of the emperor and the entrance to his imperial apartment. Look around. How many columns do you see?

6
Stop 6

In front of us we see the Silver Gate, which was the entrance from the east to the imperial palace. There were also double gate. Look at the beginning of the first main street that ran from east to west.

7

Listen to the story about eating habits during the time of Emperor Diocletian. Imagine those feasts in this place centuries ago.

8

Through this unusual open corridor we enter the imperial apartment. This place is very acoustic, let me hear you!

9
Stop 9

The Temple of Jupiter was once a temple, today it is a baptistery.

10

Do you know how wide this smallest street in town is? Let's measure it!

11

Enjoy the view of the square Pjaca, here you can see beautiful buildings of different architectural styles. What time is it on this unique clock with 24 digits?

12

This used to be a section for the army and now it is a narrow city street. With the arrival of the Italians, many things changed in the palace. Find the symbol of Italy and continue to the fountain where I have a task for you.

13

Look at the construction of this gate. A bit unusual but with a very important purpose. Listen to the story of the double gate in the palace of Emperor Diocletian.
