Detailed itinerary

Upon arrival, your local friendly driver will greet you at the airport with your name sign, enjoy the comfortable ride in the air-conditioned vehicle to Zhaojialou Water Town, with about 800 years history. The town is regarded as the “Cradle of Shanghai’s agricultural” and “Little Oriental Venice”. Meet your guide and spend some quality time to explore around the old alley streets full of local flavors and see the intact Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture along the ancient canal while learning the interesting local culture, history and custom. Sample some of the local authentic street snacks such as famed Shanghai soup dumpling, Shaomai, Pancake, steam bun etc. If you like. You may choose to take a relaxing gondola ride along the canal to fully appreciate the charm of the picturesque town.

Stop 2

Continue the tour to the Shanghai city center, one the way discuss with your guide the sites you prefer to visit, following are recommended places but be sure to tell your guide if you want to tailor made your own. Make the stop at the Bund area, one of the must visit in Shanghai, enjoy a nice walk along the waterfront, once was the “British concession”. Also known as “Free Museum of International Architecture”. Set your cameral ready and take the fantastic view of the city’s old and new skylines while learning the important colonial history that made Shanghai prosperous.

Stop 3

Next head to Pudong New Island, marvel at some of the world-class skyscrapers such as Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Tower (Ranked No.1 tallest in Asia, Shanghai World Financial Tower). Depends on the weather, if clear day you could choose to go up to the cool observation deck of Shanghai Tower to enjoy a 360-degree bird-eye view of the super Shanghai.

Stop 4

If time permits, you could choose to visit other places such as Old Town, Yu Garden Bazaar, French Concession, Jade Buddha Temple or Shanghai museum etc. After the enjoyable visit, your professional driver will transfer you back to the airport or your city hotel if you need check in.
