We will begin our tour passing through the Malecón de Barahona, a beautiful coastal area with spectacular views. Then, we will visit La Máquina de Leña, which was the first to start operations at the Barahona mill. We will pass through one of the sugarcane areas of the Dominican Republic that is still working in the industry and preserves its traditions. Its town is mostly of African descent and Haitian population. You will be able to see their social reality and their roots in their traditions, where we can see some voodoo practice or religious act.
