Stop 1

Vienna to Devin Castle, 1h
Pick up from the hotel at 9:00. During the road, I'll tell you interesting stories about Austrian royal family, especially about Maria Theresa and her beloved palaces.

Stop 2

Devin Castle is a historic monument situated on a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers in Bratislava, Slovakia. With its origins in the prehistoric times, the castle served as a strategic outpost throughout various eras, from the Roman Empire to the Middle Ages. Its ruins are a testament to its turbulent history, including the Napoleonic Wars when it was destroyed. Today, Devin Castle stands as a symbol of Slovak national identity, and offers visitors stunning views and a fascinating glimpse into the region's past.

From the medieval castle we will go to the coronation city of the Hungarian kings - Bratislava. On the way, I will tell you how Vienna and Bratislava were connected and why Maria Teresa often visited Bratislava.

Stop 4

We will start our walking tour around the city from the highest point of the city - Bratislava Castle - and descend from the Danube. During our walk, I will tell the history of the city from the Roman military camp to the capital of Hungary and the satellite of Vienna. I will also recommend several places for lunch, as well as the best places for beer tasting.

Stop 5

Bratislava to Vienna, 1h 30min. Drop off at your hotel at about 18:30 On our road, we can stop once on the highway for visiting the restroom and have snacks.
