We'll start by picking you up from your hotel in a comfortable, premium vehicle and taking you (approx. 2h driving from Heraklion area) to explore during 2h the city's stunning old town, filled with Venetian and Ottoman-era architecture and winding, narrow streets lined with cafes, shops, and boutiques.

Our knowledgeable local guide will lead you through the historic streets, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the city's rich cultural heritage, including its ancient Minoan and Venetian roots. You'll see some of Chania's most famous landmarks, such as the 16th-century Venetian lighthouse, the magnificent Cathedral of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary, and the lively Venetian harbor, where you can watch fishermen bring in their catch of the day.

After exploring the charming old town of Chania, we will take a short 45-minute drive to the breathtaking Kournas Lake, which is the only freshwater lake on the island of Crete. This picturesque lake is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a true gem of the region. During the visit, you can enjoy a relaxing walk around the lake, rent a catamaran, or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters.

In addition, if you wish, you can savor some delicious local cuisine at a family-run tavern. Our knowledgeable guide will recommend the best dishes and help you navigate the menu like a local. After a satisfying lunch, the guide will drive you to another beautiful city, Rethymnon.

After short driving to Rethymno (approx. 30 min from Kournas Lake), you will have the opportunity to explore the old town, which is home to charming narrow streets, picturesque buildings, and stunning architecture. Your guide will take you to visit the Venetian harbor, one of the most beautiful spots in Rethymno, where you can enjoy the sea view and take memorable photos.
Your guide will share the history of Rethymno with you, including the city's long and diverse cultural heritage, and point out notable landmarks and buildings as you explore. Additionally, you'll have time to stroll through the bustling markets, where you can purchase souvenirs, local products, and handicrafts.
