About this experience

Wondae-ri Birch Forest have stunning landscape In winter, like Winter Fairy Tale. Enjoy the Winter paradise with its snow-dusted peaks and icy waterfalls. The scene is more astonishing when their white color matches the white snow.

As we enter the forest, we will start to spot a couple of birch trees dressed in all-white bark. By the time we feel we are getting sweaty, we will finally get to see the wide view of the Whispering Birch Forest.

*Winter in Korea (especially in Gangwondo Province) is cold for those not from the cold regions. we recommend that to wear warm clothes, gloves, thick socks and most importantly, crampons are required to enter the forest. If you do not own one, we can lend you the crampons on site.

**A minimum of 4 participants is required for the tour to proceed.
If the minimum number is not met, the tour may be canceled or rescheduled, and we may contact you to make alternative arrangements.

Move to Wondae-ri Birch Forest Pick-up (6:30 Hongik University Station Exit 4, 7:00 Myeongdong Station Exit 3, and 7:10 Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station Exit 10.)

There are scenic hiking courses where visitors can immerse in the tranquil forest with the tall white bark birch trees raising towards the blue sky magnificently. From entrance to the birch forest takes about 1 hour (3.2km). A return trip will generally take about 1.5 hours including photo takings. The beautiful and unique branch structure and white bark of the birch are observable throughout the year. However, the scene is more astonishing when their white color matches the white snow in the Winter.

Yongdaeri Maebawi Artificial Waterfalli s designed in a natural style, harmonizing seamlessly with the surrounding natural landscapes to offer a stunning view. Especially during the winter season, the waterfall and its surroundings are covered in ice, creating beautiful ice sculptures.
