This half-day Kruger safari from Hazyview takes you deep into untamed wilderness where animals roam freely and every sighting is completely natural. When travelers think of an authentic Big Five safari in South Africa, Kruger National Park is what comes to mind.

Detailed itinerary

1

Your safari begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel, lodge, or guesthouse in Hazyview and nearby areas. Meet your professional safari guide and begin the journey toward Kruger National Park.

Please note (Pick-up radius rules):

- Shared tours: Pick-up is available only for accommodations within 8 km of Phabeni Gate (Kruger National Park).

- Private tours: Pick-up is available for accommodations within 15 km of Phabeni Gate (Kruger National Park).

- If your accommodation is outside the applicable pick-up radius, or if you don’t require pick-up, please meet us at Phabeni Gate Kruger National Park

2

Arrive at Phabeni Gate, where your guide will assist with entry formalities and give a short briefing. Once inside Kruger National Park, your safari travel adventure begins immediately.

3

Travel through classic Kruger landscapes including dense bushveld, riverine areas, and natural wildlife corridors where animals feed, drink, and move between habitats. Your guide uses tracking skill, local knowledge, and animal behavior to search for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) and other wildlife such as giraffe, zebra, hippos, crocodiles, antelope species, and outstanding birdlife.

This is a true wilderness travel experience, so sightings are never guaranteed, which is what makes it authentic. Stops are made whenever wildlife is encountered, giving you time for viewing and photography while respecting park rules and the animals’ space.

A short snack and comfort stop is made at a designated rest camp to use the facilities and stretch your legs. The safari then continues along different routes to maximize your chances of more sightings before exiting the park.

4

After the game drive, exit Kruger National Park and travel back to your accommodation in Hazyview or to the meeting point at Phabeni Gate, depending on your booking selection.
