The tour starts at the park entrance "Largo Pietro Tacchi Venturi", where we immediately immerse ourselves in the Caffarella Park, which is part of the larger Regional Park called "Appia Antica", named after the famous Roman road.
After crossing the Caffarella Valley, we get the chance to observe some birds and wildlife in the Caffarella Pond – from a proper birdwatching station.

Getting to the entrance is easy: exit the subway station "Colli Albani (Metro A)" and make your way straight down the street "Via Mario Menghini" (at the beginning of the street, you should see an icecream shop with huge green letters that say "PASTICCERIA GELATERIA"), until you reach the park.
