Detailed itinerary

1

“We promise you’ll experience the most sensational sunrise of your life over Mount Abang and volcano Mount Agung from the top of Mount Batur, with the least amount of trekking possible, even if you’re not a morning person.”

We take you up the 1300 metre mark. Mount Batur is 1771 metres high, so you'll only have to trek another 471 metres which takes about 45 minutes.

You can chose to stay in the car and watch the sunrise come up from the 1300 metre mark. It's just as sensational and a lot less work. The only draw back is you wont be walking around the rim of the crater, and really this is awe inspiring. You'll love this.

2
Stop 2

Walk the rim of the crater. Not many other tour companies do this, we love it. Once you've trekked to the top, it seems such a waste to turn around and come back down again. Get to the highest point, and then walk the rim of the crater. You get a sense of accomplishment, as well as some magnificent views of the entire caldera area, including the local villages, farming communities, the black lava, and the black sands; and just about everyone experiences walking through a cloud at that height. Do it, you wont be disappointed.

On the way back in 4x4 you'll see all of the bumpy roads and bush tracks you went on at 4.00am however you couldn't see anything
