The tour to Thórsmörk is probably one of our favorites for its diversity.
It is a great balance between a hiking tour and a sightseeing tour, which an overwhelming feeling of adventure. During our day, we will cross many rivers, either with our 33inch 4x4 LandCruiser or wading through them.
We will spend the whole day away from civilization, in a remote, untouched, nature.

Driving to our first destination will take around 2 hours.
We will begin on a paved road, the main road in Iceland, then we will switch to mountain roads. This itinerary involves MANY river crossings! Feeling of adventure, guaranteed!
Our first stop will be inside of a canyon. To reach a waterfall at the end of the canyon, we will have to find our way inside of the gorge.
By the end of it, we will have no other choice, but to remove our shoes and wade through the river, to reach a stunning waterfall located right beneath a skylight.
We will stop by the back side of the glacier covering the volcano that blew up in 2010.
The glacier (as the volcano) is called Eyjafjallajökull. An outlet of this glacier, called Gígjökull is visible from the back of the glacier.
We will go and do a quick visit there.
The canyon of stakkholtsgjá is wide and beautiful.
