Throughout this 2-hour walking tour, the historic city will display the rich art and tradition that it contains! The tour starts by heading to the main square of the city, the Piazza del Comune, which will show the view of one of the best-preserved Roman temples in Italy.
Moving to the next site, the medieval castle of Rocca Maggiore will be observed. Then the tour continues to the famous Basilica of San Francesco, in which your guide will introduce you to the multifaceted figure of San Francesco.
The arrival later will be at the Basilica of Santa Chiara, another important place of worship in the city of Assisi. The basilica houses a 12th century crucifix and was built to house the tomb of the Saint, founder of the Order of the Poor Clares and disciple of Saint Francis.
