An early start for this wonderful excursion, the guide will pick you up at the hotel reception, to take you to Vinicunca, the city of Cusipata, where he will give you a safety briefing. Then you will begin your 6-hour walk to the viewpoint of the 7-color mountain. During the hike, you will pass through a variety of ecosystems, including the Ausangate Valley, home to several South American camelids, such as alpacas and vicuñas. Take in stunning views of the valley, dotted with small lakes, and the Ausangate Glacier, before reaching the colorful mountain.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and transferred to Qollasuyo. The trip will be approximately 1 to 2 hours by transportation. We will arrive at Pitumarka, where we will have breakfast. You will then begin your hike at the foot of the snow-capped Ausangate, a climb of approximately 1:30 hours to the highest point of the Colorado Mountain. Upon entering you must pay an entrance fee of 5 USD p/p
During this walk, you will have the opportunity to see the different varieties of South American camelids. At the top of the mountain, you will have time to take photographs of this enigmatic place. Then, we will continue the 1:30 hour descent hike to the starting point of the hike. You will then be taken by car to Pitumarka, where you will have lunch and finally return to Cusco.
