I will bring the Tower of London alive for you with its hidden secrets, medieval tales and sacred legends.
I'm a professional, knowledgeable and friendly Blue Badge Guide (ITG highest qualification) and The Tower is my favourite London attraction.
This private tour is bespoke, well-planned, and very entertaining, ideal for families with children, and adults alike. It includes discovering the Tower as a fortress with its heavy gates, portcullis and murder holes and visiting the medieval kings' apartments. We will also climb up the White Tower with its oldest exhibition of armor, wooden horses and beautiful Romanesque architecture.
Last but not least, we will admire the priceless collection of Crown Jewels, still used by the Royal Family.
I will meet you by the Welcome Centre and we will immerse ourselves into the troublesome history of the Tower. It used to be a fortress with its murder holes, a prison for important historical figures, a place of execution but also a royal palace with its zoo and luxury medieval rooms. I will introduce you to the most important members of the Tower, ravens, and not only tell you a few legends associated with them but also give you an insight into their lavish life.
Price for the Tower of London including all attractions is Adult: £29.90, Child: £14.90 (as of October 2022)
The White Tower is the oldest building within the complex, with its fascinating exhibition of the kings' shining armour. It is the perfect place to invoke images of medieval tournaments with brave knights fighting for their honour. There are displays of royal swords and weapons of different eras, and also opportunities for children to learn about medieval weapons and enjoy a few games.
One of the most incredible attractions are the Crown Jewels. Not only are they are the most powerful and historically important symbols of British monarchy but also visually magnificent objects with huge diamonds, sapphires, pearls etc. They're also surrounded by mystery, legends and even an attempt of theft.
We will immerse into the bustling life of medieval kings and queens, going through their rooms, admiring the decoration and collection of everyday objects. Also there will be fantastic views to the City of London, River Thames, Tower Bridge and Southbank.
The tour departs from the welcome centre, opposite to the main entrance. Your Guide will be waiting with a sign showing the lead customers name.
