Next, visit the imposing red sandstone Agra Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 and one of the finest Mughal forts in India. The maze of the courtyards, mosques & private chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire.
