Colonia del Sacramento is a city in southwestern Uruguay, across the Río de La Plata from Buenos Aires. It's known for its cobblestoned Barrio Histórico, lined with buildings from its time as a Portuguese settlement. Set above the historic district is the 19th-century Colonia del Sacramento Lighthouse, offering sweeping river views. Nearby lies the Portón de Campo, remnants from the old city walls.

Puerta de la Ciudadela is one of the few remaining parts of the wall that surrounded the oldest part of the city of Montevideo, the citadel, which was torn down in 1829.This drawbridge over a moat was built in 1745 as the only entrance to the city. It is located by Plaza Independencia, in Ciudad Vieja.

La calle de los Suspiros is a historical street located at Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. It is a perfect place to get lost and enjoy the architecture and beauty of times gone by. The street was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995

Plaza de toros Real de San Carlos is a former bullring in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. Built in 1909 it was shortly closed after prohibition of bull fighting in 1912. After a century of abandonment, in 2021 it was finally restored and transformed into a cultural center for musical or sportive events.
