Diamant is a 175-meter-high basalt rock located south of Grande Anse du Diamant Bay and the municipality of Diamant in Martinique in the West Indies. It is located three kilometers from Cape Diamant in the Strait of St. Lucia. It is named for its ability to reflect light at certain hours of the day like a diamond.

Erected in the Anse of the same name, the memorial is the work of Martinican artist Laurent Valère, commissioned by the town of Le Diamant to mark the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery in 1998. The 15 very large white statues, each weighing 4 tonnes, are rooted in the Martinique soil and face Cap 110 (north of the island of Gorée, located in the Bay of Dakar in Senegal).
