LOCATED on a small bluff on the south coast of Providenciales, the rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill represent bygone sentiments left by shipwrecked sailors and travelers as they waited for their ships. The inscriptions found here include names, dates, symbols, and simple depictions of ships and buildings. The age of these carvings ranges from the mid-1700s and well into the 1800s.

We found this location long years ago (it was a local hangout spot) before Wymara Villas, it is perfect for the sunrise, Caicos bank with turquoise waters, cays, southside marina and windward side.

THE HOLE is a naturally formed limestone sinkhole located in the Long Bay Hills area of Providenciales.

This feature has a diameter of roughly 50 feet (15 m), and a depth of about 60 feet (18 m) to the brackish water below. The depth continues below the water surface for around 25 feet (8 m) under the northern side of the hole. It’s highly likely that the depth at one point in history was much greater than it is today.

Cheshire Hall Plantation was a 5,000-acre sisal and cotton plantation in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, owned by the British Loyalist Thomas Stubbs from the late 1700s until 1810 and afterwards by his brother Wade Stubbs.

Providenciales, known locally as Provo, is an island in the Turks and Caicos archipelago, in the Atlantic Ocean. It’s ringed by soft, sandy beaches, many of them on the north coast. These include expansive Grace Bay Beach, a water sports hub with resorts, shops, and restaurants. The island's snorkel sites include Smith’s Reef and Bight Reef. The turquoise lagoon of Chalk Sound National Park is dotted with tiny cays.

ONE OF THE THREE ORIGINAL SETTLEMENTS on the Providenciales, Five Cays is found on the south coast of the island. Beginning as a fishing village, this residential area is home to several small shops and restaurants.
