Detailed itinerary

1

This captivating East Salalah excursion commences at the center of Salalah city or hotels. Step into a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle, embarking on a 30-minutes journey through the scenic beauty of Oman.

2

Taqah is a province and coastal town in the Dhofar governorate, in southwestern Oman. When traveling to Taqa, you will come across the Royal Farm and Marmura House. Taqa village is known for its Dried Sardines and traditional Dhofari Houses.

3

Taqah Castle was built in the 19th century. This makes it a relatively new castle in comparison to forts and castles found in the north of Oman, such as the forts in Nizwa, Bahla, and Nakhal, which are hundreds, if not thousands, years old.

4

The ruins of Sumhurum (Khor Rori) lie to the East of Taqa. This city served as the easternmost outpost of the Hadramawt Kingdom along the ancient incense route connecting the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf, and India. Khor Rori was a significant port in Dhofar and a major trading city for frankincense. It is believed to have been the central hub and harbor for the shipping of frankincense and is considered the palace of the renowned Queen Sheba (UNESCO World Heritage site).

5

The tomb of Ben Ali is located in the middle of the mountainous terrain in Oman. It is distinguished by its white dome, which expresses the fragrance of history and the authenticity of the past.

6

The Castle of Mirbat was built in the traditional Omani style of defensive architecture, which is atypical of many of the structures built in the area. The Mirbat castle was originally divided into three functional distinct areas: administrative, military and residential.

7

Ain razat is located around 20 kms from the main city of salalah. This place is famous tourist spot during khareef season. It has natural caves and spring water. You can also spot some migratory birds during the khareef season. This is a good picnic spot and also has a beautiful garden near the parking area.
