Wadi Tiwi is a canyon, 40km north of Sur in the Ash Sharqiyah Region of Oman. Dramatically situated where the Hajar Mountains reach the sea at Tiwi and enclosed by steep canyon walls, Wadi Tiwi has been continuously inhabited for at least a thousand years. Although the region is desert, water drains from the mountain plateau to the north-west and flows in the upper part of the wadi throughout the year, even in times of drought and there are many small pools.
Wadi Shab is considered one of the most breathtaking wadis in Oman, with its fresh water flowing through banana plantations and rocky trails. After a hike to the wadi, visitors can enjoy swimming from pool to pool and rejuvenate themselves.
Fins beach is remarkable for its beautiful cliffs. The beach becomes all the more beautiful with the setting of sun infused with thousands of hues reflecting on the waves. Beautiful caves can be found in the small village adjacent to the beach. Beaches are covered with pebbles and will keep you hooked in collecting some. A rich colony of coral as well as fish will enchant you as you dive into the sea.
Hawiyat Najm, known as Bimmah Sinkhole in English, is a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of the eastern province of Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, very close to the Al Sharqiyah region, near the highway leading to Sur, a few kilometers. before Tiwi.
