The Two huge banyan trees are located at Wat Aham, a holy site that was once the residence of the Supreme Patriarch of Lao Buddhism. The temple was constructed in 1818 on the grounds of an older temple dating back to 1527. Wat Wisunarat dates back to 1513 and named after King Wisunarat (Visoun), who ruled Laos from 1501 until 1520. It was built using 100,000 stones from the Mekong River and is a popular attraction in Luang Prabang.
Mount Phou Si, also known as Mount Phou Si, is a 100 m high hill in the center of the old town of Luangphabang in Laos. It is located in the heart of the peninsula of the old town and is bordered by the Mekong River on one side and the Nam Khan River on the other side.
